Connecting kids to Christ and Igniting a passion for His purpose

Our purpose is to offer your children a place of wonder and discovery as they learn Bible truths. Our goal and desire is to create an environment that is engaging, educational, and fun for every child. We want to capture your child’s imagination, intrigue them, and help them discover who God is, what the Bible says, and what it means to follow God. We have a strong desire to see them thrive in their walk with Christ.

Our children's ministry seeks to bring children into age-appropriate worship where they can learn what it means to be a part of the family of God, grow in their walk with Christ, learn to serve, and share Jesus with the world around them. We strive to do this through our Sunday morning and afternoon programming, Wednesday night programming, VBS, summer camps, and various other activities and events for children.

first word celebration

On Sunday, November 14, all K-2nd grade children are invited to be a part of our “First Word Celebration” during the 10:30am church service. This celebration is all about the importance of God's Word and following what it says. Your K-2nd grader will receive a Bible with notes and guides to help them on their walk until high school that will be picked out by you. After you fill out the form, we will be in touch with you. RSVPing by no later than Sunday, October 31, is required for your child to participate. Click on the picture below to RSVP. You will need to fill out one form for each child you are RSVPing. See Jonathan Beaver with any questions.

Thrive 3:5

All 3rd-5th grade students are invited! We meet on Sundays from 2:00pm-3:30pm. We incorporate a fun large group game, a time of worship, a large group Bible story, and small group time each week. We offer this ministry for the following reasons:

  1. To help 3rd-5th grade students come to know Christ and grow in their walk with Him.
  2. To help 3rd-5th grade students develop additional community and friendships in their late elementary years.
  3. To make the eventual transition to 6th grade as seamless as possible for every student.

Parent cue app

We are passionate about intentionally partnering with all parents and caregivers to help you teach your children about God and raise them in a Christ-centered home. Orange Curriculum's Parent Cue app is a great tool to help with this goal. It ties in with our Sunday morning lessons for all ages. Check out the blog, video, and PDF below to discover what the Parent Cue app is all about. It can be downloaded for free on both the Apple and Google Play app stores.

Children's ministry wellness policy

In order to create the healthiest environment possible for your child, each room is cleaned thoroughly each week and after all services and events. Leaders and children are encouraged to wash their hands continually in order to prevent the spread of germs. We will be taking temperatures of all leaders and children before they are checked in with a contactless or forehead only contact thermometer until further notice. There will also be periodic hand sanitizer breaks during all children's ministry services and events. Social distancing will be practiced.

Parents, children should be symptom free for at least 24 hours before being checked into the children’s ministry. To assist us in this effort to create a healthy environment, please do not check your child in if they have any of the following symptoms:

• Fever or do not appear well

• Continuously runny nose or frequent nasal drainage, regardless of the color of the drainage or treatment with antibiotics

• Frequent loose or watery stools

• Frequent cough, sneezing, and shortness of breath

• Vomiting

If your child has a clear runny nose or other symptoms due to allergies, please let us know. We realize some symptoms hang on when a child is not contagious. Thank you for doing your part!
